Samir Karnik’s next with Bobby Deol titled Curfew

Though the two senior Deols, Dharmendra and his elder son Sunny Deol, are doing a film with Anil Sharma, instead of their Yamla Pagla Deewana director Samir Karnik, the youngest Deol scion Bobby has decided to go along with his buddy Karnik. The two are now going to be working on a film titled Curfew, a hard-hitting drama based on the 1984 Hindu-Sikh riots. Karnik who is at the moment writing his script admits his next film will star only Bobby and the not the other two Deols

Vinod Khanna and Farooque Sheikh to star in Chhoti Si Duniya

Veteran actors Vinod Khanna and Farooque Sheikh will share screen space together in Rahhul S Anand's Chhoti Si Duniya. The film is set around the medical fraternity and has been scripted with the help of leading medical professionals. The film marks the launch of Rahhul S Anand's son Rohitt and is also a tribute of sorts to Rahhul's late filmmaker brother Mukul S Anand.

NTPC posts 24.17% growth in Q4 to Rs 2,505.42cr

State-owned NTPC on Wednesday reported a 24.17 per cent growth in profit-after-tax to Rs 2,505.42 crore for the January-March period of 2011.

Rupee hits 5-month high on inflows

The Indian rupee climbed to a 5-month high on Wednesday boosted by rising dollar inflows into equities.
